join investigation Drug Bust Yields 14lbs of Narcotics and Two Firearms

Joint operation by MCSO and FBI targets alleged drug trafficking network across Oregon and Washington

A coordinated investigation involving multiple law enforcement agencies across Oregon and Washington resulted in the seizure of roughly 14 pounds of illegal drugs, two firearms, and thousands of dollars in cash, according to the Multnomah County Sheriff’s Office (MCSO).

The operation—led jointly by MCSO’s Dangerous Drug Team (DDT) and the Federal Bureau of Investigation—centered on alleged criminal activity involving multiple individuals. To advance the investigation, officers served three simultaneous, court-authorized search warrants at locations in Portland, Milwaukie, and Vancouver, Washington.

Additional support during the searches came from the Port of Portland Police Department, IRS, U.S. Marshals Service, and the U.S. Postal Inspection Service.

According to investigators, the warrants yielded a significant quantity of narcotics, including approximately:

  • 3.5 pounds of methamphetamine

  • 7 pounds of cocaine

  • 6,500 Xanax bars

  • Hundreds of LSD tablets

  • More than 2.5 pounds of psilocybin mushrooms

  • 122 grams of powdered ketamine and 70 milliliters of liquid ketamine

  • Nearly a pound of MDMA

Alongside the drugs, investigators also recovered one handgun, one shotgun, and thousands of dollars in cash. Two individuals were taken into custody, and authorities expect criminal charges to be filed at the federal level.

MCSO said no additional details—including the identities of those arrested or the specific locations of the searches—can be released at this time due to the ongoing investigation.

The Dangerous Drug Team, which conducted the operation, is a multi-jurisdictional narcotics task force supported by the Oregon-Idaho High-Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) program. The team includes personnel from MCSO, the Gresham Police Department, FBI, U.S. Marshals Service, and analysts from the Oregon National Guard.
