Entrepreneurship Leader Kim Freeze Coming to IDEA Talks!
Klamath IDEA event to highlight innovation, mindset, and community collaboration
Klamath IDEA is preparing for an evening of inspiration and entrepreneurial energy as Dr. Kim Freeze of Grants Pass joins the IDEA Talks! speaker series as its next featured speaker on Thursday, November 20. The event will bring together business owners, founders, and community members interested in strengthening Klamath’s growing innovation ecosystem.
Dr. Freeze is widely recognized across Southern Oregon as an entrepreneur, educator, and ecosystem builder. With more than 25 years of experience, she has helped founders move from early-stage concepts to fully developed ventures, offering guidance rooted in psychology, business strategy, and hands-on experience.
As Director of the Southern Oregon Innovation Hub, Freeze has played a central role in boosting startup activity across the Rogue Valley. Her work focuses on connecting people, resources, and ideas — creating a more collaborative and supportive environment for businesses to grow.
“Kim’s energy and love for entrepreneurs is unmatched,” said Klamath IDEA Director Darin Rutledge. “Her impact on the entrepreneurial ecosystem in Southern Oregon has been profound, and her message of community collaboration and entrepreneurial mindset will resonate deeply with our Klamath community.”
The upcoming IDEA Talks! event will explore themes of innovation, mindset, resilience, and the role of community support in helping entrepreneurs succeed. Organizers say the evening is designed to spark conversation, encourage networking, and inspire attendees to pursue bold ideas with confidence.
Guests will enjoy networking opportunities, heavy appetizers, and two drink tickets with their $15 admission. Doors open at 5:30 p.m., and Freeze’s talk will begin at 6:15 p.m. Seating is limited, and advance registration is encouraged.
